Weather cancellations are accepted only if the course is allowing them for your tee time.
Course closed for weather? Let us know, as we may not hear about it. You won't be billed.
Once you tee off, the round counts as played.
No rain checks
VIP Golf does not issue rain checks
Once you tee off, the round counts as played and is billed.
This applies to any stoppage after tee-off: lightning, snow, wind, hail, standing water, slow play or bugs.
Courses may offer their own rain checks, but don't have to unless your confirmation says so.
If bad weather is forecast, you can cancel before you tee off.
Late cancellations
Missed the deadline?
Charged at least 50% of the VIP preferred green fee.
Late cancellations are reviewed by VIP Golf Administration, who may charge the remaining 50%.
There is no charge for weather-related cancellations, provided they are called in before your scheduled tee time.
All late cancellations are reviewed by our administration. Circumstances vary, and may result in a late fee of 50%, a full charge, or no charge for reasonable circumstances.
No-shows
Missed your tee time without notice?
You can be charged by the course and VIP Golf.
The course may charge the card that secured the booking, or charge VIP Golf, which then bills your account.
We want to avoid these situations. Please make sure your tee time is cancelled.
No-shows reflect poorly on VIP Golf members and cost the courses valuable revenue.
Cancelling with the course & VIP Golf
You have two bookings
Cancel both to avoid charges.
Your green fee with VIP Golf, and your tee time with the course.
Cancelling one doesn't cancel the other. Follow the course's own cancellation policy for your tee time.
VIP Golf has no control over what a course charges for an unused tee time.
Late cancellations are charged at the rate in your confirmation, per booking, unless we fill your spot.
Inside the cancellation window, the host course's rain check and event policies apply and its decision is final. Mountain courses may consider cold, wet weather playable.
Custom policies
Resort, private, mountain & event bookings
Some bookings have their own policy.
You'll see it when you book and in your confirmation.
To cancel these, contact VIP Golf Administration. We'll cancel both the tee time and the green fee for you.
Frost delays
Frost delays
Only delays over 60 minutes count as a weather cancellation.
Courses usually let you know about adjusted tee times.
In early and late season play, plan for frost when you book.
Payments & refunds
Don't pay at the course
Your green fee is always collected by VIP Golf.
Let the non-members in your group know so they don't pay for you. If they do, you'll still be billed by VIP Golf.
If a course charges you when you book online, you may be eligible for a refund of your VIP Golf green fee, unless you accepted a disclaimer on the last step of booking.
If a course bills you, contact us right away so we can try to reverse the charge.
