By using VIP Golf's services you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, you may not access the services.
VIP Golf may change the program or its rules at any time by posting the changes on this site, without separate notice. Continuing to participate means you accept the changes.
Members agree to receive promotional email, and addresses may be used after membership ends. Every promotional email includes an unsubscribe option.
Personal information may be shared among VIP Golf entities and combined with other data for products, services and advertising. Withholding information may limit what we can provide.
We may use cookies, web beacons and tracking pixels. Continued use after a revised cookie policy is posted means you accept it.
Keep your account details accurate and current, including the contact details we use for notices. Update them under Member Dashboard > Edit My Profile.
The name on your account must match the photo ID you show at the course. Each member receives a unique ID number on joining.
VIP Golf collects your green fee and charges the preferred rate at the time of play. You don't pay the pro shop unless specified or booking procedures weren't followed. Visa and Mastercard charges post within 24 hours of play as "VIP Golf Banff"; any other charges are from the course. Cash-account payments are deducted within one day of play, and your balance must cover the preferred fee at booking. Check your balance under My Profile.
Overdue accounts are deactivated until cleared, and declined cards trigger an email notice. Three or more negative-balance events in a season require prepayment for future bookings. Balances over 30 days old, or unpaid past October 15, incur a non-refundable late fee of 25% of the amount owed. Balances over 60 days old, or unpaid past November 1, are sent to collections.
Book your green fee online or by phone before you check in. We can't accept bookings by voicemail, email or text. Without a booking, you pay the regular rate at check-in. We recommend booking with VIP Golf before booking your tee time.
A green fee gives you member access on the booked date and course. Tee times are booked directly with the course. For complimentary rounds, rounds paid by others, or discounted rates such as Early Bird and Twilight, contact VIP Administration before teeing off; the request may be declined if the spot can't be resold.
If you book for other members, you're responsible for those bookings, including no-shows, wrong courses or dates, double bookings and cancellations. Check your bookings in the dashboard's booking calendar.
You book tee times as a public player under the course's normal rules, which may include a credit card hold. VIP rates can't be used for tournament or group bookings, or combined with other coupons or discounts.
VIP Golf limits daily member spots at each course. Once they're full, the course is closed to VIP bookings until a cancellation opens a spot. Check availability online or by phone.
Some courses limit how far ahead members can book. Bookings outside that window mean paying full rate at check-in plus the VIP green fee. Repeated violations result in termination without refund.
Cancel by 5:00 pm the day before you play (for a Thursday booking, by 5:00 pm Wednesday). Late cancellations are charged at least 50%, and VIP Golf may charge the remaining 50% after review. Cancel online or by phone; voicemail, email and text aren't accepted. Cancelling with VIP Golf doesn't cancel your course tee time, and vice versa.
Some courses and events have their own policy, shown when you book and in your confirmation. Requests outside that policy may be billed.
Tee time cancellations follow each course's policy. VIP Golf isn't responsible for course charges on unused tee times.
Weather cancellations are accepted only if the course accepts them, and must be requested before teeing off. If the course is closed for any reason, the request is approved; please call us if your course is closed. A closure mid-round is charged at the preferred rate.
VIP Golf issues no rain checks. Once you tee off, the round counts as played, with no exceptions, including lightning, snow, wind, hail, sleet, standing water, slow play and bugs. Courses may offer their own rain checks at their discretion.
The course will let you know your revised tee time. Delays of 60 minutes or less can't be cancelled; longer delays allow a weather cancellation request. In early and late season play, plan for frost when you book.
A no-show may be charged by both the course and VIP Golf, and VIP Golf passes any course charge to your account, including for group bookings. Your green fee is reserved for you, so late cancellations and no-shows are charged in full.
Memberships run annually and expire November 1 regardless of purchase date. Renewal is at the promotional rate VIP Golf sets. Dues are non-refundable unless specified, and are used right away to buy partner course inventory.
New members pay a one-time initiation fee, which isn't refunded if the membership is cancelled or terminated. Former members with past membership records don't pay it again.
Memberships renew automatically at the promotional rate on November 15 each year, unless you cancel through the website before then. We email four renewal notices, starting one month before. Renewal refunds are available until March 1 if the membership is unused and unmodified, and no offers have been used. Processing fees may apply.
Some tiers are limited to selected courses, which may be added or removed at any time. All policies apply to every tier. Using benefits outside your tier upgrades you to the tier that includes them, at the current rate.
Memberships are personal and can't be shared, loaned or sold. Misuse may lead to suspension or termination without refund, cancelled bookings, forfeited credits, administrative charges and legal action. Corporate memberships are the only exception.
Corporations prepay a block of green fees for the season, with no membership fee. Prepaid green fees are fully transferable, booked through the corporate portal and approved by email. They expire December 31 of the purchase year and don't carry forward.
New memberships are final sale. Card refunds have a minimum 10% processing fee. Auto-renewed memberships may request a refund until March 1. After March 1, requests are reviewed case by case with a minimum 25% fee; after March 15, a minimum 50% fee. Refunds after March 1 are only available if the membership has not been used to play. No refunds are given for weather, forced shutdowns or Force Majeure.
Dues may be carried to the next season for documented health reasons or temporary relocation. Apply to playgolf@vipgolf.ca. Approved applications after May 31 cost $100; after June 30, $250. Applications after July 31 aren't accepted. Deferrals aren't available for weather, shutdowns or Force Majeure, or if the membership was used.
If your total savings don't exceed the regular Individual membership price, you can receive green fee credit: up to $150 for auto-renewal and Early Bird members, and up to $100 for other memberships. Contact VIP Administration to apply.
Trials cover membership dues only. Trial members pay preferred green fees and must provide a credit card. VIP Golf may end a trial at any time.
VIP Golf sets preferred rates, based on 18 holes unless stated, and they may change without notice. Rates don't adjust for course conditions or time of play. Savings are measured against the posted prime-time rate.
Special rates apply at specific courses, dates and times, including Dedicated Tee Times, Member|Guest Events and Member|Guest Specials. Promotional bookings aren't eligible for weather cancellations if the course is open.
Twilight specials are booked on the day of play and must start after the specified time. Playing outside the authorized time is charged the full rate. Regular bookings can't be switched to twilight on the day.
Non-members playing with a member pay the course rate at check-in, unless specified otherwise.
Guest rates offered in the booking platform are charged to the member's account, and the member collects payment from their guests. Guests must not pay the course directly.
Some courses offer tee times ahead of the regular booking window, billed at the posted rate when booked. They can only be cancelled for weather, before your group tees off, and approved cancellations are issued as account credit.
A holiday that falls on a weekday uses the course's weekend rates.
Approved green fee refunds are returned as non-transferable account credit. Card refunds carry a processing fee of at least $10, up to 10% of the refund.
Credit applies to green fees or membership dues first, with any remainder charged to your card. Prepaid credit is non-transferable and non-refundable, and doesn't expire while a balance remains.
Aggressive, violent or abusive behaviour toward staff isn't tolerated and may lead to restrictions, suspension or termination.
Be respectful toward staff, members, course personnel and the public, in person and online. Members must not publish defamatory or misleading content about VIP Golf, its staff, partners or services. Good-faith opinions protected by consumer protection law are excluded.
Follow each course's etiquette: rake bunkers, repair divots and ball marks, keep pace, follow cart rules and dress codes, and drink responsibly. Violations may lead to restricted access, suspension or termination.
Members pay for damage caused by negligent, reckless or intentional acts. Courses report damage to VIP Golf, which charges the full amount to your card on file. Disputes are settled directly with the course.
